PhD Student
30 h/week, fixed-term 3 years
We are seeking a curious and motivated PhD student to join a multidisciplinary research project at the Institute of Molecular Biosciences. The project lies at the intersection of aging, sleep, and data science. Funded by the BMFWF and the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the project aims to develop alternative approaches to animal experimentation and generate knowledge that helps reduce the need for animal studies.
The project includes a three-month research stay at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience in Amsterdam. We are looking for a highly motivated, independent, and collaborative researcher with a Master’s degree in neuroscience, molecularbiology, biology, physics, or a computational discipline. Experience in sleep research, behavioral studies in mice, or machine learning is desirable.
